The food is amazing and the owner is a sweetheart!
Amazing food and above amazing service! 10 stars! True small town cafe where they treat everyone like family!!!
Good food, friendly staff, and fast.
Great home cooking and happy quick service.
The food was awesome and the staff was also very friendly and helpful. Some of the best food ever. If you pass by you should go eat there. I would recommend alot
Great Breakfast! Fast friendly service . Home town cafe atmosphere!
Always fantastic service and great food breakfast lunch and dinner.
Me and my gf were passing by and decided to come here after the raving reviews. The food was fantastic, flavorful, and cheap! We got the BLT, French dip, and fries. Surpassed all expectations and our bill was $18. Staff was friendly, food came out quick, and I'm leaving very happy. Thanks you guys
Nice atmosphere... Laid back...good food.
A must stop if you are in the area, great food and wonderful atmosphere.
Best restaurant in the area and really the only. Banning Junction Cenex has closed it's cafe and dining room looks like a dead business. Go to Amy s she used to work at Banning now she owns the best and only restaurant in the area
Stopped by for lunch on the way to Duluth-so glad we did. It’s small and casual and they have great food. My boys and I got burgers and fries (the beer battered ones were my fave) and my husband had the hot beef sandwich-all were amazing. Service was awesome and quick too! Stop if you’re nearby!
Always great service and delicious food! Recommend Amy's always!
Stopped in today for breakfast on our way to Spirit mountain in Duluth. Absolutely great breakfast! Fast and very friendly service. Very casual and the locals made us laugh! We usually go to Tobies in Hinkley on our way up but now Amy's Country Cafe will be our go to from now on! Thanks for a great start to our day!
Nice local cafe to stop by if you are exploring the area. Variety of meals and good prices. Service is a little slow but you'll eventually get what you ordered. Recommend if you have plenty of time and new to the area.
Best hot beef I have ever had!
Unexpectedly delicious and cheap. I was shocked when our bill for 2 was 15 bucks. They could easily charge more but don't. Great place for a stop on your way north. We live in Minneapolis and met our Duluth family halfway here. We had the owners son as our waiter and got all the attention we needed
The people judge you for no reason & say your on drugs & I forgot my bags there because I was going to the house to get my check book & by the time I got back there, the restaurant was closed & in the morning a police officer had one of my bags & he didn't say anything to me about there being drugs & pipes in my bag!! & Now I got a letter in the mail saying all kinds of charges against me!! 3 months later
This little cafe is Hometown small town proud! Every Friday we have all you can eat fish and all of us at attaboys love to come up in the afternoon and have a long lunch. Things get busy but the service is always good and it's always wonderful to get a chance to talk to Amy the owner. Don't miss your chance this summer bring the family kick back and hang out with us sometime.
Great food great service
Today is my 7yr anniversary with my honey. Our waitress was slammed, its Sunday and we got in during church rush, but she made every effort to give us a good breakfast. The food was amazing. The cranberry wild rice toast was a nice treat. I hope she has a good rest of her day as well as the rest of the staff.
Quick getaway from the cities and decided we wanted to eat. Saw the reviews and some pics of the food - decided we had to try it ourselves (and it just so happens to be my name!) Amy's did not disappoint- great tasting food in healthy portions for a great price! I had the #1 with Chicken fried steak and cranberry wild rice toast. Amazing! I asked where I could buy the bread because it was so amazing. She actually had an extra load on hand in her freezer and she sold it to me! If you're in the area and you're hungry - you gotta try this place. Service was friendly, atmosphere was warm, and regulars seemed to be treated like family. Looking forward to the next time!
Our waitress was amazing! Took our order by memory with everything correct.
Delicious biscuits and gravy. Friendly service.
Always friendly staff, amazing food!
Easy to find in Sandstone. Amy's serves up the breakfast classics. A local favorite. Walk in and find locals playing dice and socializing pleasantly. The space is a bit cluttered, but efficient to seat and serve large numbers of guests. Good service. Good food.
My wife & I stopped in for breakfast. It was great! Very good food & service, fair prices, very nice atmosphere. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed. We will be back!
Good food and cheap but they only have one bathroom.
This is the first time we've stopped here. The food was very good. The Service was very good. We will stop again.
I go there every time I visit Minnesota. Food is good, best waitress ever had works there.
Never went there
Friendly, good service and wonderful breakfasts. No end to coffee.
Possibly the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. It took over and hour and a half from the time we were seated to get us our food. The waitress forgot about us multiple times and shouted at us from across the restaurant when she forgot part of our order. She never refilled our drinks and the food was mediocre. Overall terrible service and average food. Would not recommend.
Amy's has been one of the got to spots in Sandstone ever since I started coming here in 2005. Servers remember you, coffee is always full and consistent food at reasonable prices!
Fun employees great prices awesome tasting food take the time to stop by and enjoy an awesome meal you won't be sorry
American country diner up north, with generous portions, warm service and friendly like family. Easy to smile and laugh. You'll find a fairly typical country menu. Our order of omelets and a hot sandwich was a tad slow to be served but very delicious, perfectly cooked and served tastefully. It's clean, comfy and warm, off the highway a bit but easy to find. Located in historic Sandstone town with a couple touristy attractions nearby. We went in winter but must be nicer in summer. Take note genuinely good places to eat are far and few between as you go north so if you're in the area make it a point to stop here!
Boy the food was good, but the service was so, so slow. Took about 50 minutes for food to get to us on a Wednesday afternoon. That being said, the food itself was delicious and reasonably priced, and the restaurant had a cozy vibe.
Great food great service!
Small town diner, not real busy. Quiet place to grab a cup of coffee or some quick lunch.
Great Place!! 1st time there and we'll Definitely be back!! We live in the cities and it's Worth the drive!!
Statt was pleasent, good hash browns. Wish I would have tried more. Will try again. And looking forward to it.
It is a very cute an country restaurant great service and food
Breakfast food is what they're known for. I agree 100%. The blueberry pancakes were filled with fresh berries, the bacon was crispy and crunchy, and the hash browns tasted amazing. I would recommend giving Amy's Country Cafe a try if you're around in the area. Staff is friendly as well!
Very good food and my son says the hash browns are the best. Cute restaurant and friendly staff. Highly recommended
Great little restaurant. Good food, friendly staff, low prices.
Food was great! Server was excellent! Good experience!
The food in this cafe is great! Cant beat the prices. The waitress never writes the order down and both times got it wrong and is a little loud and obnoxious. It is very cold in there and the customers were complaining.
The food is amazing... definitely a 5 but the kitchen crew touch your food with their bare hands. It was disgusting. One guy was on his phone and putting food together. Another one itched his elbow then went right back to touching food. They come out and touch the water and pop machine, refrigerator, and go back and touch food. We were there for an hour and never saw them wash their hands once! Even the pickles- they touched them with their bare hands. This is a major health code violation. We will not back until the kitchen staff get proper food handling training.
